Silk fan details
This fan is a tribute to one of our most precious cultural heritages. The Alhambra Palace in Granada is the most important architectural complex from the Moorish period in Islamic Spain, and its richness in mosaics and decorations is rivaled by few other examples in the world. It is also said that it’s “the most complete expression of Islamic art in the western hemisphere”, which makes it a central point in our history, culture and tradition.
The fan’s design was inspired by a mosaic wall at the Alhambra, also known as Islamic Art.
The colors were carefully picked to complement each other and create a rich chromatic harmony, just as they did in some of our most prized works from this period.
This piece is also an heirloom to be passed down through generations as an emblem for part of our heritage
