Islamic Geometry Silk Scarf Alcazaba

Silk scarf with Islamic Geometry print designed by Aziza Iqbal.

The original design was created in different separate shapes and traced on paper with compass and ruler from scratch, entirely by hand. It is painted with the watercolor technique, and later, after its digitalization, it was joined by means of digital programs.

The quality of the printing is such that the water and different shades of the watercolor painting can be appreciated in the scarf.

Scarf Details

The Islamic Geometry silk scarf is a reinterpretation of traditional Moroccan oriental geometric motif designed by the talented Islamic Art Artist Aziza Iqbal.

In addition to the exclusive original print, this silk scarf has a finish that distinguishes it from all others: hand-wound and hand-stitched ends. This technique, which gives that touch of quality and elegance to the scarf, is almost lost due to the introduction of machine stitched finishes in the foulards. Machine stitching lowers manufacturing costs, but does not resemble the finish and luxury of hand-stitching.

The rectangular format of this elegant silk scarf makes it a very versatile fashion accessory, as you can use it as a natural silk scarf for the neck knotted in different ways, as a head scarf or as a shawl over the shoulders.

The natural silk chosen, called Habotai, is fine and delicate, with a soft touch and elegant drape. Among its properties is that it does not irritate the skin, so when you wear it, it will become your second skin.

Finely Crafted

Our silk scarves are finished with the artisan technique of hand-rolling and hand-stitching with invisible stitches. This gives it an accentuated luxurious look and feel.

Habotai Silk

For the creation of this scarf we have chosen Habotai silk. It is a very light and fine silk, which allows the design to be seen with the same colour intensity on both sides of the scarf. Durable, very pleasant to the touch and to wear, this type of silk makes the scarf a very versatile accessory to wear.

Islamic Art Inspiration

The patterns that make up Islamic Art are inspired by the tiles that decorate the monuments of Arabic origin in southern Spain and northern Morocco. Infinite shapes created from tiles cut by hand centuries ago.
